Something has changed in the last 2-3 weeks and not in a good way. May or may not be related to a firmware upgrade. One more upgrade came in today (22.214.171.124) however it did not change anything.
I have 4 cameras - 2 Cam V2 and 2 Cam Pan - all 4 have SD cards and up to recently, never had a problem with recording and play back, successfully changing settings, etc. What’s different now :
- going to Events, most of the times I have to refresh the screen to get the 12 sec videos, long time after the event was recorded. And I know I have them because the notification seems to be the only thing that did not change and still works fine.
- playback on any of the cameras is now a hit and miss (miss, most of the time). I have tried soft reset, hard reset, took the SD cards out, changed the settings to continuous recording and back to event trigger - nothing seems to fix the problem. Sometimes I am able to make it work, only to realize hours later I have the same problem again. Sometimes cameras get stuck on ‘loading’ and I have to close the app to be able to get out of the loop.
- if I try playback by manually navigating to a certain time when I know I have a 1 min recording (because I saw it earlier), I consistently get a message that the cameras are trying to reconnect, then ‘Connection failed’. Going to the Live Stream and trying to navigate again to Playback - this time I get ‘no micro SD card’ and I have to keep resetting to get it ‘back’.
There were not changes to my router or network, the signal is strong (several laptops and no connection issues).
The only thing I did not try yet is remove all cameras, uninstall the app and reinstall everything. Before I do that, any thoughts ? Thanks.
