Is it just me, or because of compression artifacts, the imagery in HD mode looks the same as SD mode? I thought this was just a v1 SoC issue but am having the same crappy quality with my newly received v3s. Is there a way to reduce the compression ratio to reduce/eliminate the compression artifacts at the expense of bandwidth?

Note: just because the camera sends a 1920x1080 image doesn’t make it a 1080p HD camera if it’s mainly compression artifacts.

Hmm, they recently switched from png to jpg formats. I wonder if they dialed up the compression ratio. To reduce the CAM Plus storage?

This has been an issue for the entire time I’ve had these cameras (3years). I don’t believe it has anything to do with the image format.
