Haven’t seen it in writing anywhere. But camera motion won’t send alert notifications to your phone unless camera has a memory card in it. Fyi
Camera motion will send an alert to your phone whether it has an SD card or not. The thing without the card is that when it detects motion it goes into a 5-minute cool down where you will not get notified again until motion is again detected after the 5 minutes

Mine wouldn’t send any alerts. The alert tab was totally blank over several days from camera. As soon as I put an sd card in it, it started sending them
By Alerts Tab do you mean the Events tab in the app?

Events are stored in the cloud for 14 days so you do not need an SD card for it to work. SD cards are useful if you want continuous recording.
