My camera used to work flawlessly. I use it to monitor my handicapped son in his room overnight. I view it on my iPad. A few months ago, the picture started freezing several times a day. To get it going again, I have to double click the home button, slide the app off the edge, re-launch the app, touch the camera image, touch the square to maximize that image, pick up the iPad and spin it all around to get the picture right side up, zoom in. This isn’t fun several times through the night. Sometimes my son will need help but when I look at my iPad, I see an earlier picture of him when he was sleeping peacefully. I’ve updated the firmware when it told me to. The app is up to date.

It sounds like the app is not refreshing not a camera problem.
