Can you use the camera’s motion sensor to drive the Wyze Plug. ( ie, no bridge)
Hello @leeannlace2008 and welcome to the community.
I may be misunderstanding your question, but the WYZE Plug does not require a bridge to work
She may be asking if the cameras motion sensor can turn on or off the plug
Welcome to the Wyze community leeannlace2008. If you mean, “can a Wyze cam’s motion sensor trigger a Wyze Plug to turn on/off?”, yes it can. For example, if you want a lamp to turn on in your house when a cam picks up motion, you create a Rule of type Device Trigger. You’ll need another Rule to turn the lamp off.
Create a Rule/Device Trigger to turn a Plug on (with lamp plugged into it and always left on):
Create a Rule/Device Trigger to turn Plug off after it’s been on for x amount of time:
1st Rule will trigger Wyze Plug to send power to your lamp when your cam detects motion. 2nd Rule will trigger Wyze Plug to cut power to your lamp when Plug has been on for 2 seconds.
You create Rules via the “+” in the upper left corner of the Wyze app’s Home screen. You edit/modify/delete Rules via the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the Home screen.
