I’ve got a wyze cam and a few other components on my kitchen table while I debug a few motion rules. I didn’t want Alexa to announce “Motion Detected” all the time when I wasn’t working on it, so I turned the camera away from me toward the front window.
Later that night I was startled by Alexa’s “Motion Detected” while I was in the next room. It turns out that cam plus person detection was triggering on my reflection in the window. So, like some birds, I started attacking the other person in the window.
I hope the window is still in one piece.
