I’m thinking of adding many multiple WYZE bulbs to my house to eliminate people never remembering to turn off lights. My own basic question is does the light switch have to constantly be on the “ON” position for the light to work? IE: if I put the smart bulbs in my bathroom fixture light which is controlled by a switch?
Yes, the socket must have power turned on in order for you to control the light via the app or Alexa or whatever.
If you mean can you turn the switch off without having to re-connect the bulb to the app, then the answer is usually. Rapidly cycling the switch multiple times can cause the bulb to lose its connection and require re-pairing to the app.
