App Release Announcement] Hi guys, hope you are doing well. We just released 2.1 App to the public. Here are the release notes. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you so much.

iOS 2.1.21

  • Allow bulk firmware upgrades through Account
  • Support PayPal payment in Shop
  • Improved experience for device setup and Forgot Password
  • Fixed app download incompatibility issue on some devices
  • Bug fixes

Android 2.1.27

  • Allow bulk firmware upgrades through Account
  • Support PayPal payment in Shop — This is Testing only, you will not be chared
  • Improved experience for device setup and Forgot Password
  • Improved experience when using Bluetooth devices
  • Bug fixes

Reminder: Beta App Shop orders will not go through, e.g. no payment should be charged and orders will not be processed. This is just for testing but you will still receive the transaction emails. If you would like to place real orders, please use the official production version 2.1 or visit our website.

How To Tell If You Are on Beta

  1. Beta App = v2.2. You will see “Nest” in Shop. Your orders will not be processed, visit our website
  2. Official App = v2.1. You will not see “Nest” in Shop. You can place orders

iOS allows both versions installed so you can still order via the app v2.1. However, Android may have limitations so you can only purchase via the website.

I already upgraded but sadly it doesn’t make my camera work. I still can’t livestream :pensive:

@kristyc Sorry to hear, since when did you start experiencing this? We encountered some issues last week and have been posting updates on this page.

03/07/19 1:00 AM - We have been working with our service provider on this. The servers capacity is enough but there is load balancing issue on some servers. Our service provider is going to adjust the load balance to make sure no server has very high requests. We look forward to this change to get back to normal service status.

I noticed it yesterday and today (haven’t been into live for awhile). I’ll keep an eye on the updates but sad this has been happening for so long considering I got the cameras for a reason and if this feature isn’t working then it’s 75% useless to me. Hopefully it’s fixed soon

Working smoothly for me on Android. Navigated all the menus. Browsed Events and SD Playback. Livestreaming while LAN connected A-OK.

While viewing Events in Landscape fullscreen, ability to browse to previous/next events by swiping on video left/right (respectively) is back. Well done!

After the upgrade the sound from the cam over the phone is hardly audible…

Hello @shah.gaurav.r, sorry to hear about the issue but could you add some more detail so I can better assistant you? Is the camera making a crackling nosie or is the audio choppy?

Hello, Just bought a Wyze Nest?, paypal would not work for me, did not like my credentials so I had to use a credit card. Just thought you would like to know. Looking forward to the next greatest Wyze product and can’t wait to get the Wyze Nest, I think? Thanks.

I couldn’t get the beta app to accept either my credit card or pay pal for the Wyze Nest.

Yea, didn’t work. I did notice that the paypal payment goes to https://sandbox.paypal.com. I guess since this is the Beta app it isn’t setup to work?

The Beta App orders will not go through, e.g. no payment should be charged and orders will not be processed. This is just for testing. You will still receive the transaction emails. If you would like to place real orders, please use the production version (the one you can download in the App Store / Google Play)

Mark, that product is not in the production shop and I don’t remember there ever being a note that the beta side shop would not work?

Geo, Sorry that it was not made clear, the Nest is just used for testing as we will be introducing new shopping features. iOS users can have both versions and can order on the other version, but if you are an Android user, you would have to purchase via our website .
