The Wyze app depends on the android stock video decoder to play videos and if the android phone does not have the codec the Wyzeapp video are encoded in the user will see a code error. User will have to use a third party software , such as VLC, that has its own software codec and is able to play back the videos even if the stock android system does not have it.
My wish is for Wyze to add one of the many opensource video player that is able to decode the video without the need of the Android stock player and make it part of the app.
